Soul Wound Test Boards
Many sample and test boards I do don’t work or are dead ends. I did two test boards a couple years ago for a planned painting to be titled, Soul Wound, but never did it. I may still do a large abstract based on the idea and these test samples. These tests looked a little too much like a physical wound for my taste and the idea I had.
I do like the effects here and may do other tests with different colors, etc. Maybe a similar one, but visually more like burnt crust and lava-like appearance.
I used Golden Coarse and Extra Course Pumice Gel for the rough texture tinted with Golden Fluid paint. I used Golden Self Leveling Gel and Golden Tar Gel tinted with Fluid acrylic paint for the more liquid/fluid sections.
